HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Long Island police are investigating an incident in which a man fired several times in the direction of a young couple and their 1-year-old child.
The shots missed the family but struck a car and a house.
It happened Thursday afternoon on Front Street in Hempstead.
The suspect fled in a black car.
