BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A 22-year-old man has been killed when the pickup truck he was driving ran into a highway median and overturned.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was headed north on U.S. Highway 83 about 10 miles north of Bismarck about 1:40 p.m. Friday when the truck ran off the roadway and into the median. The man tried to steer the vehicle back onto the northbound lanes but the truck vaulted when he struck a cross over.
The man was ejected and pronounced dead at a local hospital. A 3-year-old passenger who was in a car seat was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The patrol did not release the man’s named pending notification of relatives. The crash remains under investigation.
