ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police are looking for a person of interest in the shooting death of a 26-year-old man.

The Alaska Dispatch News reports (https://bit.ly/1NfXBLs) Spencer Christian Ballenger was shot in the chest Friday in the parking lot of an Eagle River supermarket. Police identified 26-year-old Aaron Nathaniel Trejo as a person of interest.

He was not in custody as of Friday evening.



Police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro says officers are collecting the surveillance video from a business near the supermarket.

Trejo is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds. He’s wanted on an unrelated arrest warrant for failing to appear at a change of plea hearing on a third-degree assault charge.
