CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - A southern New Jersey man charged in a fatal house party shooting will be tried as an adult.

Camden County prosecutors say a judge recently approved the change for Daikwon Alford. He remains jailed on $1 million cash bail.

The 18-year-old Camden man is charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. The charges stem from an April 5 shooting that occurred outside a house party in Haddon Township.

Alford was 17 when the shooting occurred. Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and Alford’s attorney has argued that her client was misidentified as the shooter.

Eighteen-year-old Camden resident Tyimer Bright was killed in the shooting that also wounded two girls, ages 16 and 17. They have since recovered from their injuries.
