RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man will serve 20 days in jail and register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to three counts of promoting a recording of sexual conduct by a child.

Scott Stinson of Brandon was sentenced to four to 15 years in prison, all suspended except for the 20 days.

While on probation, his access to children and to the Internet will be limited.

The charges stem from a shared investigation between the Attorney General’s Office, Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Brandon Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Vermont State Police.
