MABLETON, Ga. (AP) - Police outside Atlanta are investigating the killing of a man whose body was found in the breezeway of an apartment building.
The man was found dead around12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Windwood Apartments near Mableton. Cobb County police later Wednesday identified him as 23-year-old Anthony Terrell Tavarez of Mableton.
CBS 46 reports (https://bit.ly/1LxukXm) that police were called to the scene after several 911 calls reported gunshots in the area. Police had no suspects in custody early Wednesday.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was told by family members that Tavarez is the son of retired Atlanta police Det. Frank Tavarez.
