NEW YORK (AP) - A Brooklyn man has been convicted of raping and torturing a former girlfriend he held captive for three days.
Prosecutors say 31-year-old Alex Anselmo, of Clinton Hill, was convicted Wednesday of kidnapping rape, burglary and other charges.

The say he repeatedly raped and sodomized her, cut her feet with a knife, beat her with a dumbbell and shaved off her hair while her 2-year-old daughter was in the next room.
A neighbor finally called police after becoming suspicious.
Anselmo faces up to 50 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced Oct. 1.
