FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Fargo police are working to identify a man who tried to rob a hotel.

KFGO radio reports (https://bit.ly/1FivhG0 ) that the man walked into the Vista Inn about 11 p.m. Wednesday, told the desk clerk he had a gun and demanded money.

Police say the clerk hesitated and the would-be robber fled without getting any cash. The clerk did not see a weapon.

Investigators are examining surveillance video from the hotel and nearby businesses to try to identify the suspect.
