ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Bernalillo County Sheriff’s officials say a man is dead and a woman wounded after a shooting in a remote area of the East Mountains.
Deputies located the victims in the area of Forest Road 462 and Coyote Trailhead before 11 a.m. Thursday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman was airlifted to an Albuquerque hospital where her condition is not immediately known.
There’s no immediate word on a possible motive for the shooting.
Sheriff’s officials didn’t identify the man or the woman, but say they are in their late 20s or early 30s.
Deputies also don’t know what the relationship is between the man and the woman.
