SALEM, N.H. (AP) - Police in New Hampshire say a New York man used social media to lure a 13-year-old girl out of her home and sexually assault her at a Salem motel.
WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1QlbqGZ ) that 23-year-old Gurjinder Ghorta, of Brooklyn, New York, faces felony charges in two towns.
Prosecutors say he sent the girl text messages containing sexually explicit comments.
Authorities say Ghorta picked the girl up in Derry last week and took her to the Salem motel.
His lawyer says he has no criminal record and would return to his family in Brooklyn if released.
Ghorta waived a hearing on the evidence and is being held on a $250,000 cash bail.
