PERKINS, Okla. (AP) - A north Oklahoma man faces embezzlement charges on accusations he stole more than 300 cattle and sold them for a profit.
James Robb Taylor of Stillwater, who owns Perkins Livestock Sales, was arrested Tuesday as the result of an investigation by Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
Taylor is accused of ordering cattle, having them delivered to various properties and never paying for them. Investigators claim Taylor then shipped the cattle to feedlots to sell them for a profit.
KOCO-TV (https://bit.ly/1P3KFGz ) reports that the first load sold for $110,000 and the second load sold for nearly $346,600.
Taylor is being held in the Oklahoma County jail on $10,000 bond. It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney.
