WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) - Waukesha police say they’ve arrested a suspect in the killing of a man who was found dead in his apartment.
The Waukesha Police Department says the 57-year-old man was taken into custody without incident Wednesday while a search warrant was being executed. Police describe the suspect as an associate of the victim for the last two years.
According to police, 45-year-old Timothy Minkley of Waukesha was found dead in his apartment Monday night. An autopsy found he died from head trauma, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities said Thursday afternoon they have recovered the suspected murder weapon, which apparently was discarded near the Fox River.
Police believe the killing is an “isolated act” and that there are no other suspects.
