PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Providence man has been indicted on charges of sex trafficking after police say a missing Texas teen was found in a Providence apartment.

A federal grand jury charged 35-year-old Dujuan Harris on Wednesday with one count each of sex trafficking, transportation of a minor, production of child pornography, possession of child pornography and witness tampering.

Police say Harris lured the 17-year-old victim to Providence in mid-June. Police say Harris posted nude photos of her on backpage.com with an advertisement for escort services.

Harris’s attorney didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment.

Prosecutors say Harris refused to let the teen leave the apartment where they were staying. She was rescued June 30 by police. Prosecutors say Harris also made threatening phone calls to the victim while in police custody.
