TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Tempe are investigating a rash of vehicle fires they say were intentionally set.

Police said Wednesday that five incidents have occurred in the past week and may be linked to two other vehicle fires.

According to investigators, four fires on Friday are linked to another one that happened Sunday.

Police say most of the fires have occurred along or near East Broadway Road between McClintock Drive and Price Road.

They are trying to determine if the same suspects committed arson of vehicles on Aug. 15 and Sept. 8 or are connected to other arsons in other cities.

All the vehicles were parked in business lots or in residential areas.

Meanwhile, police are advising people to park cars in a secured garage or keep porch lights on at night.
