JENSEN, Utah (AP) - A 17-year-old girl is being treated for injuries after she was thrown 30 feet when she crashed an ATV.
KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1P1heFe ) that the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the girl lost control of the vehicle when she went around a school bus Tuesday in Jensen.
Cpl. Brian Fletcher says the ATV went off the road and the girl was thrown. Deputies believe speed was a factor in the crash. The girl was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The girl was taken to Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal.
