DETROIT (AP) - A 29-year-old Detroit woman has been ordered to stand trial in the fatal stabbing of another woman during an argument on a public city bus.
Tiffanie Edwards appeared Thursday at a preliminary examination in 36th District Court.
Edwards is charged with first-degree murder in the Aug. 26 slaying of 50-year-old Charla Williams. Williams was stabbed in the face and body with a knife.
Edwards was arrested after a bus passenger’s cellphone video of the attack was aired by news outlets. It led to a tip to police.
The Detroit Transportation Department has put security cameras and police on buses to improve safety.
