LANDOVER — The Washington Redskins will be playing without right tackle Tom Compton for the second consecutive week as he remains sidelined with a right calf injury.

Compton headlined the inactives list against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. The other six are quarterback Robert Griffin III, wide receiver DeSean Jackson (strained left hamstring), cornerback Justin Rogers (plantar fasciitis), inside linebacker Martrell Spaight (concussion), and guards Spencer Long and Arie Kouandjio.

Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is active after a quad injury popped up this week. He was listed as questionable. Without Jackson, Reed should be counted on heavily in the passing game. Tight end Anthony McCoy is also active after being inactive in Week 1. He signed with the team on Sept. 7.

The Redskins have just seven linemen dressed for the game with tackle Ty Nsekhe and center Josh LeRibeus as the only two backups.

Running back Todd Gurley is inactive for the St. Louis Rams. The team’s first-round pick this season is recovering from an ACL injury and practiced fully this week. He could return Week 3.

The other six Rams inactives are quarterback Sean Mannion, running back Chase Reynolds, offensive tackle Darrell Williams, guard Cody Wichmann, receiver Brian Quick and defensive end Eugene Sims.
