BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island say a community college custodian is accused of secretly videotaping a female student under a table.

Suffolk County police say David Marchese was arrested Saturday on an unlawful surveillance charge. It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.

Investigators said the 32-year-old Suffolk County Community College custodian was arrested after a witness saw him pointing his phone at a female student under a table around 2:30 p.m.

Police said Marchese and the student, whose name was not immediately released, were sitting at the same table during an award ceremony at the college’s campus in Brentwood.

Detectives said Marchese had recorded video of the woman’s undergarments.

A college spokesman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
