UNITY, Maine (AP) - Maine’s annual celebration of rural agriculture and environmentally conscious living is entering its final day in Unity.

The Common Ground Country Fair puts an emphasis on workshops and conferences about farming, gardening and the environment.

Sunday’s events include “Deepening Connection with Our Plant Allies,” ”Un-owning the Land with Community Land Trusts” and “Is Your Town Farm Friendly?”

The fair began on Friday morning and will run until Sunday evening. Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association sponsors the event.

The first Common Ground was held in 1977. The event draws more than 50,000 visitors every year.
