FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Flint is joining a federal program aimed at reducing violent crime rates.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday that Flint is among the new partnering cities in the Violence Reduction Network.
The five new partners join a list of inaugural cities, including Detroit.
The program uses resources from multiple agencies, such as the FBI and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, to help reduce violence crimes.
