CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Casa Grande have arrested a woman who called authorities to say she shot her child’s father.

Audra Lynn Jarrett is being held at the Pinal County jail on suspicion of second-degree murder. Authorities say the 26-year-old woman called 911 late Sunday night to report the shooting.

Police say officers found 34-year-old Jesse Rodriguez in the hallway with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say Jarrett and Rodriguez had been arguing before the shooting. Police found a .45-caliber handgun in the home.

Police weren’t sure if Jarrett has an attorney. She hasn’t been charged formally with a crime.
