AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine Gov. Paul LePage is holding his latest town hall meeting in Bucksport.
The event Tuesday evening is being hosted by Bucksport Middle School at its performing arts center.
The session will focus on the governor’s vision for further reducing the income tax; cutting energy costs; reforming welfare; and addressing Maine’s high student debt burden.
Bucksport is home to the former Verso paper mill.
The mill closed last December and was sold earlier this year to Canadian recycler AIM Development LLC. AIM is currently in the processing of planning the mill’s demolition.
