TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Two people have been arrested after warrants were served as part of an investigation into a drug trafficking organization.
Pima County Sheriff’s officials say they served three search warrants Wednesday at homes in Tucson, Rio Rico and Nogales.
Sheriff’s detectives say they obtained documents, weapons, narcotics and arrested 35-year-old Gildardo Vallez and 38-year-old Carmen Gil.
They say Vallez is accused of possession of narcotics, fraudulent scheme and artifices and money laundering.
Sheriff’s officials say Gill was arrested on suspicion of forgery and fraudulent scheme and artifices.
The suspects are being held at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
It was unclear Wednesday if either Vallez or Gil have a lawyer for their cases.
