WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) - Police say they’ve arrested a 35-year-old man in the fatal shooting of another man last month in Waukesha.

The Waukesha Police Department said in a news release that the suspect was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with the killing of Kevin J. Hueman. Police say they executed a search warrant at a residence, and that officers saw the suspect harm himself using “an edged weapon.”

According to police, the suspect was taken into custody without further harm. Police say the severity of the suspect’s injuries wasn’t known, and that he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Hueman was shot in front of his home on the night of Aug. 14. He later died at a hospital.
