FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Fayetteville Police Chief Harold Medlock is upset after he found a racist flier on his front yard when he went to pick up his newspaper.
Medlock told local media that the flier he found Wednesday morning in a clear plastic bag shows all that is wrong in the world in what he called “fairly racists terms.”
The bag also contained a Confederate flag sticker and a piece of candy.
Medlock said an application for the Ku Klux Klan was on the back on the flier. He says he considers the flier an attempt at intimidation and says he will not be intimidated.
Medlock said there were no fingerprints on the flier.
He said at least one other person in a nearby neighborhood also found a flier in her yard.
