Natchez police employee arrested, charged with fraud

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - A 45-year-old clerical employee of the Natchez Police Department has been arrested on prescription fraud charges.

The Natchez Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1EEkYvL ) Angela Minor was booked into the Adams County jail Wednesday on a warrant for obtaining a prescription by fraud.

Minor works at the Natchez Police Department as a records clerk.

Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said Minor was released on her own recognizance after booking.

Mayfield said the warrant originated with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and thus he did not know the specific details of the case against her.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Minor.
