JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. (AP) - An unspecified threat has closed down a western Pennsylvania school district heading into the Labor Day weekend.
West Jefferson Hills School District officials said Friday they were looking into a threat at Thomas Jefferson High School.
They sent word of the closure via Twitter and said the superintendent would issue a letter to parents later in the day.
WTAE-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1JSHYTU) police were to have an increased presence at the high school if classes weren’t canceled.
Jefferson Hills is about 11 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh.
