AINSWORTH, Iowa (AP) - One man has died in an eastern Iowa house fire.
The Washington County Communications Center announced Friday that 69-year-old Charles Darby was found dead Thursday inside his burning home in Ainsworth. First responders were dispatched to reports of a fire just before 2 p.m. Thursday.
Crews from several departments responded to the blaze, and officials with the State Fire Marshall’s Office were also asked to assist in the investigation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
