GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - Two South Carolina men have been arrested in the shooting death of a man who was sitting in a car with his wife.

Cherokee County Sheriff Steve Mueller said in a statement Thursday that 30-year-old Robert Justin Hord and 36-year-old Joseph Vance Smith have each been charged with murder.

The Blackburg men are accused of shooting and killing 35-year-old Carl Francis Burden of Blacksburg as he sat in the passenger seat of his car with his wife early Wednesday.

Mueller said Hord and Smith had a dispute with Burden over the theft of a tattoo kit.

Mueller said more charges are possible.

It was not clear Hord and Smith have attorneys yet.

Mueller said the State Law Enforcement Division is testing a gun found with Hord.
