GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Prosecutors have charged a Fargo man in the shooting of a 30-year-old Grand Forks man.

Forty-year-old Odus Quincey Maxwell made his first appearance in court Friday to face charges of attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 5. Court documents do not list an attorney for Maxwell.

Authorities say officers responded to a report of gunshots early Tuesday morning and found David Manuel Gomez with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Witnesses described three males leaving the scene in a car.

Grand Forks police say the investigation is ongoing and the case remains open.
