SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Investigators say a 25-year-old man has been charged in the stabbing death of his stepfather at the victim’s San Antonio-area home.
Bexar (bayr) County magistrate records show Michael Anthony Lopez was being held Friday on a murder charge.
Online records do not list an attorney to speak for Lopez, whose bond was set at $100,000 after his stepfather was found slain Thursday night.
A sheriff’s statement says the victim’s wife contacted a San Antonio police officer, at a fast-food restaurant, to say she believed her husband had been killed at their home.
Deputies found the victim’s body at the residence. His name wasn’t immediately released.
Officials say Lopez also faces a charge of interference with an emergency phone call, for allegedly stopping his mother from calling 911.
