MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A Mason City man accused of fracturing an infant’s ribs has been given up to five years in prison.

Twenty-one-year-old D’Airio Cryer was sentenced Wednesday. He’d pleaded guilty to two felony counts of child endangerment.

Cryer was accused of pushing a bulb syringe up an infant’s nose in December, causing a small gash, and accused of squeezing the child so hard several ribs were fractured.
