SHELTON, Wash. (AP) - Mason County officials are looking for a person who fired shots at a deputy during a high-speed chase.
They have identified the man as 27-year-old Joshua Weythman Baker of Shelton. The Mason County sheriff’s office advises people to call 911 if they see Baker because he is considered armed and dangerous.
KING-TV reports (https://kng5.tv/1VYrgMM ) that the deputy was not injured despite being shot at during Thursday’s chase on Highway 3 in Shelton. The deputy had tried to pull over a vehicle, but the driver refused and took off.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver fired multiple shots at the deputy before eventually bailing out of the care and taking off on food.
The sheriff’s office has not released any description of the suspect, who has not been apprehended.
