SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah lawmakers say they will announce in about two weeks whether there’s enough support in the Legislature to meet for a special session to override the governor’s bill vetoes.

Senate leaders said Friday they’ll announce results of a poll of lawmakers in that chamber by April 14.The House of Representatives says it expects to finish polling House members by April 18.

Two-thirds of both the House and Senate would need to vote for an override session. Lawmakers have until May 9 to decide.

Republican Gov. Gary Herbert fully or partially vetoed six bills this week, including one allowing grandparents get legal visiting rights to grandchildren adopted by family.

Herbert signed 98 percent of the 453 bills that came to his desk this year.
