TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A Wayne man is going to prison for sharing child pornography on the Internet.
A judge on Friday sentenced 35-year-old Joshua Kane to five years in prison and to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
Kane was among 27 defendants arrested in 2012 as a result of “Operation Watchdog,” which targeted offenders who distributed child pornography online.
Prosecutors say a forensic examination of Kane’s computer revealed he had downloaded 41 videos of child pornography and had partially downloaded more than 800 additional files of child pornography, which also were available for others to download from his computer via a file-sharing network.
