LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police say a landscape worker on a riding lawn mower was killed when the mower flipped over and went down a steep embankment and into a creek.

Police spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said the mower tipped over Friday morning.

Television stations KATV and KTHV reported that the accident occurred at the Stonebridge Apartments. KATV reported witnesses told police the man was riding on the lawnmower when it tipped over.

A photograph posted by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette showed a mower in a creek behind a set of apartments. McClanahan told the newspaper the 33-year-old landscaper was not killed by the mower’s blades, but it wasn’t known if he was crushed or drowned.

KATV reported the body was sent to the state’s Crime Laboratory to determine a cause of death.
