KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A former Knoxville nurse has been charged in a fatal motel shooting.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (https://bit.ly/22mla8U) reports 28-year-old Danielle Lynette Wright was charged with first-degree murder after turning herself in Friday night.
According to a police arrest warrant, Wright is charged in the April 3 shooting of 33-year-old Purnell Nimmons during an argument at a Knoxville motel.
University of Tennessee Medical Center spokesman Jim Ragonese says Wright had recently resigned from the hospital and was no longer an employee at the time of the shooting.
Wright is being held on $1 million bond.
