FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The Fargo Public Library is joining the American Library Association and libraries around the state and country in celebrating National Library Week.
This year’s theme, “Libraries Transform,” showcases the transformative nature of today’s libraries and elevates the critical role that libraries play in the digital age with providing information, resources and collections to all residents.
Librarians say today’s libraries are not only places of quiet study, but also creative and engaging community centers evolving to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
The Fargo Public Library says a variety of free events including preschool story time, a poetry slam, crafts and a jazz concert are planned for throughout the week.
