VENETIA, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania coroner says a man with a history of seizures died after a fall into a pond on his family’s property.

The Washington County coroner’s office said the death of 20-year-old Peter Teris is believed to have been accidental.

Coroner S. Timothy Warco says a caregiver saw Teris fall into the Venetia pond at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The caregiver pulled him out and performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead shortly before 4:30 p.m. at Canonsburg Hospital.

Warco said Teris had been diagnosed with a seizure disorder. Peters Township police are investigating.
