LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Porto lost 1-0 at Pacos de Ferreira on Sunday for its second straight defeat, virtually ruling out a title challenge to Portuguese league leader Benfica.
Diogo Jota scored an 80th-minute winner for seventh-place Pacos de Ferreira, leaving Porto 12 points behind Benfica with five rounds to go.
Sporting Lisbon is second, two points off the lead.
Benfica rallied to defeat Academica 2-1 on Saturday, while Sporting beat Maritimo 3-1.
Porto, coming off a 1-0 home loss to Tondela in the previous round, hadn’t dropped points at Pacos de Ferreira since the 2011-12 season.
