DAYTON, Va. (AP) - Emergency responders say a 15-year-old collapsed and died while riding his skateboard in Dayton.
Emergency crews responded to Turner Ashby High School on Friday night and found Gabe Chester near his skateboard in the parking lot.
A GoFundMe page created to cover his funeral expenses said Chester had a history of heart problems and had just seen his cardiologist.
The Daily News-Record of Harrisonburg (https://bit.ly/25SRq8j ) reports that more than $10,000 had been raised for Chester’s funeral by Saturday.
