YEMASSEE, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are investigating after authorities seized $75,000 cash from a car that an officer stopped on Interstate 95 in South Carolina.

Yemassee Police Department Gregory Alexander tells The Island Packet of Hilton Head that (https://bit.ly/1ROqYXl ) the driver was stopped late Thursday night when an officer spotted him swerving in and out of the southbound lane.

Alexander says the cash was found in a shopping bag in the front seat of the car.

He says the car was a rental and the man had flown from Miami to New York the previous day and was driving back to Florida. He says authorities think the cash was related to the sale of drugs.

The man was not immediately arrested.
