NORTHPORT, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Tuscaloosa County say they’re searching for a man accused of shooting at two police officers.

Lt. Kip Hart of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit told local media that police were investigating a domestic assault at a Northport apartment complex Monday when a 35-year-old man ran from the officers.

Hart says the man pulled a gun from his waistband and shot at two officers who were chasing him. Authorities say officers didn’t fire their weapons and no injuries were reported.

A detailed description of the suspect wasn’t immediately available.
