BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A 66-year-old Fromberg man has died in a house fire.

Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan tells The Billings Gazette (https://bit.ly/1qJLVIU ) that Edward Joseph Forstner died Friday of smoke inhalation. Fromberg Police Chief Ralph Dawson says Forstner went into the burning house to rescue a dog but didn’t make it back out.

Forstner’s mother was able to escape the burning trailer house.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
