METAIRIE, La. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a Metairie fire that left a 32-unit apartment building uninhabitable.
East Bank Consolidated Fire Department Director Joe Greco says investigators are first trying to pinpoint where the early Sunday morning fire started before determining the cause of the blaze.
He says one man was being treated for smoke inhalation. His current condition wasn’t available. Another victim was treated for a broken bone after jumping out of a window.
The exact number of residents who were displaced wasn’t immediately available.
