NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - Natchez Mayor Butch Brown says the city is about to secure an interim director for the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Brown tells The Natchez Democrat (https://bit.ly/1VhUnfr) he plans to provide nominees for the interim director and at least four members of the Convention Promotion Commission Tuesday at the Natchez Board of Aldermen meeting.

The Board of Aldermen voted last week to ask for the resignations of all six former commissioners and former CVB Director Kevin Kirby. The measure came after several months of ongoing personnel issues and a city-level investigation into the CVB.

Brown said he intends to meet privately with each of his nominees before the aldermen ratify his or her commission in order to go over the duties of the position.
