OCALA, Fla. (AP) - Officials have identified a Louisiana man who died in a small plane crash at the Ocala International Airport.

The Ocala Star-Banner (https://bit.ly/1Xr3bNs ) reports 49-year-old Ross Grand of Prairieville, Louisiana, died Saturday morning shortly after reporting an issue with the engine. He tried to return to the airport but crashed about 8:50 a.m.

Airport Director Matt Grow tells the newspaper that a woman on board the plane received minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her name hasn’t been released.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the propeller-driven aircraft was a Mooney M20.
