MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (AP) - Police in western Pennsylvania say they believe a man who died from a head injury over the weekend was likely the victim of a hit-and-run crash.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office says an autopsy conducted Sunday afternoon indicated that 23-year-old Nikkolas Poliak died of blunt force trauma to the head. Officials are still investigating the McKees Rocks man’s manner of death.

Officials say Poliak was found around 7:45 p.m. Saturday in front of an apartment building where he had been staying. The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear, but he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
