ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A second person has died from injuries suffered in a hit-and-run in Anderson County last month in which a North Carolina man faces charges.

Coroner Greg Shore tells local media outlets that 28-year-old Douglas Kight died Sunday.

Authorities say 42-year-old Christopher Eugene Self of Vale, North Carolina, was arrested last week in North Carolina and is fighting extradition. Self was wanted on a count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Authorities say 41-year-old Karen Hampton of Anderson County died two weeks after the March 12 incident while Kight and two others were injured. They say one of the attempted murder charges is expected to be upgraded.

Authorities say the victims were in a car that was rammed several times by another vehicle before the driver sped away.
