NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities have closed streets after a water main break and a related steam leak that sent thick vapor over midtown Manhattan. No injuries were reported.

No injuries were reported.

WABC (https://7ny.tv/1Viz0dW ) says the pipe burst around 9:40 a.m. Monday near West 57th and 58th Streets and Sixth Avenue.

Environmental workers shut off the water and Con Edison shut off the steam in the area. The Fire Department was checking basements for flooding.
